Not Too Enthused About Romney?

I hear it over and over again "I don't like Romney so I'm not voting this year" and in a way I know how you feel, I'm certainly not his biggest fan, but have you considered the alternative? Lets take the Supreme Court for instance - We all see that Barack Obama does not pick justices based on their knowledge and understating of the Constitution, but rather by their dedication to the liberal agenda, and if he gets to nominate 3 more justices to the bench, Lets just say America is going to be in big trouble (Repeat after me -Cheif Justice Holder) Who does Romney have advising him on SCOTUS picks? Jay Sekulow, one of the strictest constructionists I've ever seen. Now that should be enough to convince most people, but on another front is our relationship with Israel- our closest ally in the middle east. President Obama has made it very clear that he does not support Israel, propping up his feet in Netanyahu's face, making him use the back door at the White House, and ultimately calling him a liar. On the other hand, Romney and Netanyahu have been close friends for over 30 years. Our relationship with Israel is a very important one and it is crucial that we have a President who respects Israel's leader and it's relationship with the United States . This is a life or death election for America, and while you may not agree with Romney on every front, this 16 year old humbly asks that you keep my generation in mind and use your vote against Obama this November. You have the choice between a socialist or a capitalist, Obamacare or free market healthcare, and tyranny or freedom. There have been millions of people who have fought for your right to vote, don't let them down.

Obama's Bill Writing Style

I was reading this from  Federalist #62 and realised that Publius was describing Obama's bill writing style!!!

"...It poisons the blessing of liberty itself. It will be of little avail to the people, that the laws are made by men of their own choice, if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood; if they be repealed or revised before they are promulgated, or undergo such incessant changes that no man, who knows what the law is to-day, can guess what it will be to-morrow. Law is defined to be a rule of action; but how can that be a rule, which is little known, and less fixed?" Federalist #62

America's Founders Christian?

Many people these days believe that the Founding Fathers were just a bunch of atheist, agnostics and deists, and while a few of them were, they were predominantly Christian.
Here are some quotes I have compiled from some of the founders about the importance of religion, morality, and the Bible in society :)

"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion . . . Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." John Adams

"The only foundation for a useful education in a republic is to be aid in religion. Without this there can be no virtue, and without virtue there can be no liberty, and liberty is the object and life of all republican governments.  Without religion, I believe that learning does real mischief to the morals and principles of mankind."   Benjamin Rush

"The Christian religion, in its purity, is the basis, or rather the source of all genuine freedom in government. . . . and I am persuaded that no civil government of a republican form can exist and be durable in which the principles of that religion have not a controlling influence."  Noah Webster

"For avoiding the extremes of despotism or anarchy . . . the only ground of hope must be on the morals of the people. I believe that religion is the only solid base of morals and that morals are the only possible support of free governments. [T]herefore education should teach the precepts of religion and the duties of man towards God." Gouverneur Morris

"The Bible is the best of all books, for it is the word of God and teaches us the way to be happy in this world and in the next. Continue therefore to read it and to regulate your life by its precepts."   John Jay

"Men, in a word, must necessarily be controlled either by a power within them or by a power without them; either by the Word of God or by the strong arm of man; either by the Bible or by the bayonet." Robert Winthrop

" Religion and morality are the essential pillars of civil society."  George Washington

"Our liberty depends on our education, our laws, and habits . . . it is founded on morals and religion, whose authority reigns in the heart, and on the influence all these produce on public opinion before that opinion governs rulers." Fisher Ames

"It is impossible that any people of government should ever prosper, where men render not unto God, that which is God's, as well as to Caesar, that which is Caesar's." William Penn

"If we and our posterity reject religious instruction and authority, violate the rules of eternal justice, trifle with the injunctions of morality, and recklessly destroy the political constitution which holds us together, no man can tell how sudden a catastrophe may overwhelm us that shall bury all our glory in profound obscurity. " Daniel Webster
